TACSIM

Airsoft, only better!

Our TacSims refer to realistic scenarios in which players must use tactical skills to complete missions. These simulations are designed to provide a more realistic and challenging experience than regular airsoft games such as ‘Capture the Flag’ or ‘Team Death Match.’ Chimaera builds its TacSims as preparation for its MilSims. What does this exactly entail? Our TacSims are constructed with MilSim elements so that players can easily transition to MilSims.

Here are some features of our TacSims:

  • Realistic scenarios: Our TacSims often involve complex and realistic scenarios, such as evacuating a VIP, capturing a strategic point, or conducting search and rescue operations.
  • Mission-oriented: Instead of just eliminating opponents, our TacSims focus on completing specific missions. This requires collaboration among team members and strategic planning by the Commander and Team Leaders (TLs).
  • Limited resources: To add realism, we restrict players in terms of ammunition and replicas, and they equip themselves with medical supplies such as TQ (Tourniquet) or medical bandages. This forces teams to manage their resources effectively and communicate.
  • Strategic elements: Our TacSims emphasize strategic decision-making, collaboration, and communication. Teams must devise and execute tactics to be successful, with constant radio communication with HQ (Headquarters).
  • Role-playing: Our TacSims include elements of role-playing, with players taking on specific roles like team leaders, medics, or recon/snipers. This contributes to the realistic and varied dynamics of the game. We also incorporate brief Live Action Role Playing (Larp) elements, such as arms dealers, drug lords, scientists, etc.
  • Realistic gear: Our TacSims are played without colored armbands. Team recognition is based on wearing camouflage and specific clothing. For example, TF (Task Force) wears Multicam, while OPFOR (Opposing Force) wears camouflage pants (excluding Multicam) mixed with plain clothing. Players are encouraged to wear realistic military gear, including plate carriers, helmets, shemaghs, and other relevant accessories.
  • Simulation of injury: In our TacSims, the concept of getting wounded is introduced, requiring players to use medical supplies to treat injured team members, following specific medical rules.

The goal of our TacSims: When a player is fully acquainted with the aspects of our TacSims, they can sign up to participate in our MilSims, where realism is paramount. He or she understands what is expected, such as immersing themselves in certain roles, strictly following the rules, standing guard at the base, and having little need for sleep.
